Nausea is a very uncomfortable feeling that can appear at
any point during day and can really put a dent into our energy levels. Whether
is motion sickness, food poisoning or dehydration, one thing that is for sure
is that we want to get over the feeling of un-wellness and get back to our activities
as soon as possible. The rule of the thumb is the easier the solutions are, the
more likely we are to use them, and the less side effects they are bound to
have.
Today we are going to look at three different ways of
dealing with nausea, all natural, all side effect free, and all very cheap but
effective.
Just like with everything else you might want to try, when
it comes to your health, please make
sure that there are no underlying health problems, in which case you might want
to consult your doctor.
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is a very simple technique, it involves breathing the fumes that come from a particular essential oil, mainly having some sort of heat so that there are vapors. In this case, the oil that works the best for nausea is peppermint oil. Whenever you feel nauseous, one thing you can try is putting a couple of drops of peppermint essential oil in a warm cup of water ( we don’t want the water to be too hot, just warm enough to warm the oil a little bit), sit back and focusing on your breathing, inhale the wonderful aroma a couple of times, breathe out and repeat. Taking a whiff of medical alcohol
Although it does not seem like much,
sniffing isopropyl alcohol a couple of times will relieve your nausea feeling.
This is an easy solution since it only takes about three to four deep breaths
to feel balanced and better.
Controlled Breathing Exercises
This is by far the easiest way of relieving nausea. You don’t
require absolutely anything to be able to benefit from this process. The entire antidote for this condition only
relies in your breathing technique: try and inhale slowly through your nose,
hold for about three seconds, and exhale through your mouth, slowly. Try and do
this a couple of times and your nausea will be history. Controlled breathing is
actually the key in combating nausea, it works whether there is a scent
involved or not.
